As Baidu Baike shown, the tapped density meters are divided into three kinds of tapped density meter. The first picture is about America Quantachrome’s product. The next two pictures both are about domestic manufacturers’. According to the tapped density meter Baidu Baike, the tapped density meter has single, double and three measuring cylinders. It is recommended to use LABULK 0335 Intelligent Touch Screen Third-generation Tapped Density Meter which is the most advanced tapped density meter.
Brief description of working principle
The graduated measuring cylinder containing powder or particles is fixed on the mechanical vibration device. The vibration motor drives the mechanical vibration device to vibrate vertically up and down. The graduated measuring cylinder with powder or particles vibrates with beat with the mechanical vibration device. As the number of vibrations increases, the powder or particles in the graduated cylinder gradually compact. After the number of vibration reaches the set number, the mechanical vibration device stops vibrating. Read out the volume of the graduated cylinder. According to the definition of density: mass divided by volume, the tapped powder or tapped particle density can be obtained.
The powder density meter is composed of adjustable speed motor, vibration component, microcomputer and printer. The instrument is compact, firm and easy to operate.

The tapped density refers to the density of powder in the container after it is compacted under specified conditions.
The powder density meter according to GB/T5162-2006/ISO3953:1993 (metal powder tapped density measurement), and independently developed and manufactured according to the United States pharmacopoeia has independent intellectual property rights. The instrument covers all indexes in GB/T 5162-2006/ISO3953:1993. For nonmetallic powders, The HNT301 powder density meter provided by haunart expands some functions. For example, “vibration amplitude” is expanded from 3mm specified in the national standard to 1mm～10mm integer adjustable. The “vibration frequency” is expanded from 100～300 times/minute adjustable stipulated in the national standard to 0～300 times/minute adjustable. The “vibration times” is expanded from 3000 specified in the national standard to 0～99999 times set arbitrary (tips: when set 0, the result output is “bulk density”).
