Standard English name:Plastic-Vinyl chloride homopolymer and copolymer resins-Sieve analysis using air-jet sieve apparatus (ISO 4610:2001,MOD) standard.

Implement on 1st Feb. 2008

1, Range

This standard provides a method for the determination of sieving residue and particles size distribution of mobile vinyl chloride homopolymer and copolymer resin produced by suspension, bulk and emulsion polymerization process. Controlling these properties helps ensure that the feeding is consistent with the predicted processing performance.

2, Criteria for quotations and references

The terms in the following documents become the terms of this standard by reference. A reference document with a date, and all subsequent modification lists (excluding errata) or amendments thereto do not apply to this standard. However, parties agreed upon in accordance with this standard are encouraged to study the availability of the latest versions of these documents. For undated reference documents, the latest version applies to this standard.

GB/T 6005 test sieve basic dimensions of wire braided mesh, perforated panel and sieve hole of electroformed sheet(GB/T 6005-1997,equals to ISO 565:1990)

3, Terminology and definition

The following terminology and definitions apply to this standard.

3.1, Sieve retention

After the test, the resin was left on the sieve, represented by mass fraction.

4, Sampling

From the representative resin samples delivered, take enough samples to determine the distribution of resin particle size. Usually 25g should be used in every sieve. For fine particles resins between (80-100)um, a small amount of resins should be used, such as 10g. (to be continued).
